If you’ve ever been to the Pacific NW, you already know how beautiful the region is. If you haven’t, you’ll find tons of natural beauty; especially with the gorgeous coastline, green landscapes and spectacular mountains. The Pacific Northwest has many untapped gems for wanderlust travelers looking to experience a different sort of getaway. This part of America is certainly different (in a good way), quirky, and most of all charming!
The region – also known as Cascadia – consists of the Canadian province of British Columbia, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Basically, it’s the geographic region that’s bound by the Pacific Ocean on the west and the Cascade Mountain Range on the east.
Staycations don’t always have to mean going to the movies or a local restaurant. If you’re ready to try a different type of staycation, here some of the top places to visit in the Pacific Northwest:
1. Suncadia Resort
The Suncadia Resort is located in Cle Elum, Washington, and is one of the best resorts of the area. The resort is exactly what you’re imagining: a place inspired by the grand lodges of Washington’s National Parks. Because a wide range of activities are offered – golfing, wine tasting, bike riding, relaxing by the pool – you’ll have plenty to keep you busy. On top of fun for the adults, there’s a Junior Explorer Club at the resort to help keep the children occupied. The sights are breathtaking due to spectacular river valley and mountain backgrounds. Finally, Suncadia provides a majestic retreat for those looking for a new kind of adventure.
